C4 grand Picasso fuel pump relay

After replacing what I believed to be a dead battery my car is once again dead.
Jumped it and runs fine however when switched off can hear an electrical humming sound from under the car, disconnected the battery and noise stops so assuming the fuel pump relay has gone. However for the life of me I cannot find the bloody thing. Does anyone have a picture of where the fuel pump relay is on at 57 plate Citroën C4 grand Picasso 1.8?
 
Thinking about the original Xsara the relay was clipped to the outside of the fuse box lagging, just alongside the battery.....maybe a five wire thing?
Mind you I’m back to 2002 here :eek:

Ah now that I may have seen. I was under the impression it was black or brown however the 4pin block I have is green, could this be it?
 
Could be mate, it depends where the component is made......it's worth disconnecting it and see what happens.

If your saying new battery fitted but still have to jump start it ,it will not be your fuel pump relay causing that problem. How long does the hum last for when engine turned of ?
when turning engine of ecu does reset some things for next start ,so that hum could be just that.
Also check all earth from battery and engine to body work for clean and tight connections

The battery connections have been thoroughly checked and all others
The hum doesn't stop. I fitted the new battery and went out for a drive everything ran smoothly,this was Saturday morning then didn't need to use it again until Monday eve by which time it was dead again.
Jump started it and again ran fine but once switched off the humming from under the main body of the car continued, I left it an hour and went back out and it was still doing it so process of elimination lead me to believe the fuel pump relay had gone as it appears it isn't switching off the fuel pump.
Or is there something else I could have overlooked?

I will give this a try but everything automatically shuts off internally so haven't tried every fuse but will give this a go
 
Have a go if some thing is still energised it must have a feed to it so remove fuse by fuse may help narrow it down, have you got heated mirrors are they hot , had many a relay for them stuck closed .

No don't have heated wing mirrors and have tried every fuse bar one with no luck.
Is this my fuel pump relay? (pic attached) it is the only one I haven't tried as it has metal pin type thing on the side and I don't want to pull it out and brake it.

Could be some show it as a normally 5 relay its can take 35amp so a biggie need to unplug it to confirm hum stops but that must be fused some where under bonnet fuse box or in car fuse box
 
The green one pictured is under the bonnet next to the battery, but like I say it has a metal pin type thing attached to the side of it so reluctant to pull it out incase I snap it off
 
you will need to unplug it to confirm looking on google there are a few different type of looking relays hard to conform some relays are in the under bonnet fuse box, so you will need to unplug to confirm
 
Well it is not the green one, have unplugged it and the humming still continues.
Any ideas anyone?
The green block is the only large fuse I can find, and it doesn't control the fuel pump so does anyone have any idea where I would find the fuse that does? Starting to loose my mind having to disconnect the battery every time I get out of the car and reconnect it to go out.
