My problem is that my inside measurement unit is 460mm when 464mm is needed. Can the B&Q soto drawer boxes be cut down width wise. Looking at the picture it looks like the base is wood and the back is a pressed steel form.

In short, no.
The back and sides clip into each other and the chipboard base screws into the channels created thus.

Actually I have just spotted something, looking at the info on B&Q i was going by the 600mm box that states the internal as 564mm so I thought that the 500mm box will follow the same - i.e 464mm but it is actually 460mm
Here is the 600mm box

And here is the 400mm box

Now to add to the confusion I have just come back from B&Q and they had on display a 500wide unit and draw so I measured the internal and it is 464mm so it would appear that I will struggle to get the drawer box in my 500mm (460 internal ) cabinet.
I have now brought the 600mm one and will see how it fits in my 600 cabinet.

UPDATE
I brought the drawers and no they did not fit. Although my cabinets are 600 / 500 wide external they are a thicker carcass so internal they are 461 and 561 -- that is 3mm narrower than the spec for the drawers. I think my cabinets are very old and are really thick.
I was hoping that there would be some leeway but no the space has to be exact.
So I cut down the base of the drawer width by 3 mm but as the frame sides and back of the drawer were fixed the back was still the same - 3 mm over size for my internal measurements, the front now was ok.
So I fixed this problem by routering out the back of the unit where the runner screwed in by 1.5mm on each side.
Se pictures.
