Can anyone help identify this material? Asbestos? something else?

Can anyone help identify this boarding? it was screwed onto some boxing, which was attached to the ceiling which had pipes and electrical cables in there to feed around the corridor.
majority of the boxing looked like mdf, and other wood type things. This was different.
It does glissen if the light catches it.
It doesn't seem to look like other pictures online of AIB board, but then again, I don't claim to be an expert. Now I'm just worried about what it is, my colleague didn't think it was asbestos, but didn't know what to call it.

If this is a job or a business, then you have to assume its asbestos and seal it until its tested.

The mica glitter may be indicative of a modern asbestos alternative board, but it's no guarantee and you can't tell by looking at it

I work for an electrical firm, the asbestos register at the site states there is only asbestos in the floor tiles ( I was told this by a colleague, haven't looked myself) Inside this boxing there are newer cables, which indicates to me that it had been taken off before. Like i said before, majority of the panelling appears to be wood, just a few small panels that aren't, which is what I've taken photos of. Im just hoping it isn't AIB board, as the asbestos levels are so high. To my knowledge, doesn't look like it.

You should have been given access to the Management Survey report. The report should have stated that the material has been checked and confirmed to be either ACM or to be asbestos free. Otherwise, your client should have carried out a specific targeted test and report on the material before you start work.

No-one should be guessing with asbestos, the HSE guidance is clear.

There are special microscopes set up for analysing for asbestos. Needs polarised light and quite high magnification. Like this one which is in a fitted carry case for on site inspection. Chrysotile is easy to spot.

BUgger all use to you except to point out that as @^woody^ says, you can't tell by looking.. Installation date may let you infer...

if you havent read the asbestos management report and signed it then you are leaving yourself open for a fine that could be several thousand pounds if things go titsup
