Hi, I had all my windows replaced 3 yrs ago. We decided to have them sprayed anthracite grey last year.

We have issues with all our sash and the supplier/installer has gone bust. I then contacted the insurance provider and discussed all faults.

Just before Xmas they sent a contractor out to asses. They reported to me that all the windows are defective. No Steel in any of the sash or frames. Their words “defective”

They have reported back to the Insurer that “because the windows have been sprayed it’s resulting in all the frames bowing”

Can anyone confirm if this is correct because I can’t see anything online. All I see is good points to having them sprayed.

I have emailed the Insurer stating that I don’t have sun on my backs so what would have caused them to bow.

Thanks

Yes, see it all the time even on steel reinforced windows and doors, it's getting very common

They will bow , yes.. and were they white before being sprayed? If so they probably wouldn't have reinforcing in them as it's not a requirement in white pvc so not sure why the original windows would be deemed defective? Dark colours are terrible for absorbing heat and moving
