Hi All,
I have a concrete floor which is pretty uneven, full of steep local dips and rises of more than 12mm, and far from level. I will be levelling it with latex or something, as it needs to be approaching SR1 for the floor covering.
Some of the floor is newly laid (replacing excavated bit) to tie in with old stuff, so it needs to dry before I can level it with latex. So I'm stuck waiting around but want to move on with the project (baby due!!)
I have two options:
- Wait a few days for (rapid drying) screed to dry out, latex level a 35m2 area altogether, THEN frame the walls.
- Frame the walls right now, first fix etc happy happy, then latex level a 4m2, 9m2 and 14m2 room each seperately plus hallway.
Any views?
The perfectionist in me would rather level the whole floor before framing the walls to get a consistent level everywhere and to avoid framing walls on top of severe high points which I then realise I want to grind down for example.
On the other hand time's a wasting!
