Can you group Hive TRV's together where there is more than one radiator in a room?

Hi all, for a long time I have just had three Hive TRV's. One in my bedroom, one in my bathroom and one in the spare bedroom.

I have just installed 6 more Hive TRV's for the remaining radiators in the house (except the main bathroom rad what intentionally does not have a TRV) and wanted to know if I could group the two rad's in the kitchen into one group on Hive?

What do you mean by "group" do you mean you have two rads in the same room, with individual Hive TRVs ? yes they will do their job, will they talk to each other ? no

To have the two or more Hive TRV's in the same room function as if they are one virtual TRV.

i.e. If I increase/decrease the temperature on one radiator, the other radiators in the same room will sync/update to the same temperature.

Hi @eveares, did you ever figure this out? I'm trying to work out the same thing before I pull the trigger and buy a bunch of these TRVs.

no they wont synch with each other
 
You could just use heat on demand and assign both to a room...the the HOD function will set all the rads with a TRV in the room regardless
 
Was planning to use heat on demand. I've got 2 radiators in the kitchen but Radiator 2 has a sideboard in front of it, which will give a wonky temperature reading on that TRV. I was hoping I could use the temperature on Radiator 1's to request the heat on demand and create schedules for both radiators.
 
@diychrisone Don’t know how invested you are with Hive but Drayton Wiser can do what you want. You would have both TRV’s and a room thermostat allocated to the same room and the room stat takes over control.

Ah. Wish I'd checked that out before installing the hive. Not mega-invested financially but everyone in the house can work it and is happy with the system so changing it for something else now could be a bit risky. Was planning to do all of the downstairs with Hive TRVs, I'd need 6 of them which is a big investment financially. Might just get two for the kitchen to test and take it from there. Hopefully I can work out the effect of the cabinet in front of the one TRV and adjust the thermostat setting accordingly. Thanks for the help.

This is now supported in the Hive app - 'Groups' for Hive radiator valves (and bulbs) allows you to link/group valves in the same or related areas together and be controlled 'as one'. The individual valve icons disappear from the dashboard to be replaced by the group icon (name this as you see fit).
