Can you identify this WC flush valve

I have a toilet with a concealed cistern and there is an issue with one of the flush valves leaking (the bit circled in green in the photo). The flush plate says Geberit but it doesn’t seem like the flush components actually are Geberit (Geberit replacement parts don’t fit). Can you identify what manufacturer this flush component is from so we can work out how to get a replacement? Also, is it possible that the bit circled that needs replacing could just be a generic size, rather than need to be manufacturer-specific?

I wouldn't bother with replacement parts to get this flush valve repaired. I'd just replace the whole flush valve with a new one - they're pretty cheap and will all have standard connections.

My toilet is in the wall, so I’ve been told by the plumber that to replace the flush and then make good after will cost over £1000. Keen to avoid that if possible, but perhaps there is no choice!

Its a fill valve and not a flush valve.
Don't recognise that one but toiletspares.co.uk may be able to identify it.
You might be able to replace it with a side entry fluidmaster valve. The version with the 1/2" shank will be available from Screwfix etc but it looks like yours may have a 3/8" shank which are available but will probably need a plumbers merchant to supply.
