Cannot read camera memory card

Hi all
Can anyone help. I tried to delete pictures from my camera and the camera froze. I tried to open file from card but get the windows message "The file or directory is corrupted or unreadable" not worried about photos on card, does someone have an idea how to reformat card.

Hi
Not knowing the camera that you have, but when you view your photos using the card in the camera you should have a "menu" setting and there should be "format my card", Have a look in the cameras instruction book that came with the camera if you still have it, if not go to makers website you might find away there to help
But generally when you view the photos using the screen on the camera there should be some small buttons that should get you into the menu,
Also there should be a menu to set up the way you wont to use the camera have a look to see if its there.
