Canon iP7250 trouble

My trusty Pixma iP7250 keeps telling me there is no paper (flashing yellow light).
This can sometimes be sorted by turning off the machine (top button), but this can happen again later. I have checked the tray and paper pile, all seems OK. ???

there will be a little sensor switch that is suppose to contact the paper.

might be clogged with paper dust?

can you see its lever?

Have had a good look for this, without dismantling anything, couldn't see a lever.
Gave it a good clean from out-side with mini vac.
It seems to print the first sheet when first turned on, after that the yellow light flashes if asked to undergo another, separate, task.

There used to be a Paper Roller Cleaner maintenance mode in settings on some of the canon printers , I have used that before where issue with paper out
Not sure if available on that model, worth a look at the cleaning options in setup/maintenance
