In the process of putting up a new fence. I've attached the cant rails and gravel board only to get to start attaching the feather edge and realised the feather edge boards don't sit on top of the gravel boards. The cant rails are 50mm thick and the gravel boards 22mm. This obviously creates quite the gap. My thoughts are to double/triple up the gravel boards or to mount the gravel boards so they would be in-line with the cant rails allowing the feather edge to sit on top?
Or is it expected for there to be such a gap when using cant rails?
