Can't switch Hive to gravity fed

Hello, I had the bright idea to install a Hive system for my aging mother whilst cooking the turkey. Turkey is done, but not Hive. I have installed the hub and receiver. I haven't yet installed the thermostat. It is a gravity fed system.

The problem is, I can't switch the receiver/controller to gravity fed mode. The manual says to power down for at least 5 seconds, power up and hold the hot water button for at least 10 seconds. The status light should flash blue for 3 seconds.

How ever I do this, I don't get the blue light. I've held the button for as long a minute. I've pressed and held it whilst powering up. I've pressed and held it immediately after powering up. I've pressed and held it starting a few seconds after powering up. No blue light. Each time I powered down, it was for at least 30 seconds.

The button itself works: I press (without holding) the hot water light and the boiler fires up, heating the water. If I then press the central heating, the radiators start to heat. But as it stands, it allows me to have the heating on and water off - which of course doesn't work.

Incidentally, I can successfully press and hold the central heating button to get it into stand-alone mode (white status light).

Anything obvious I've missed?

For what it's worth, boiler is a Kingfisher 2, previous controller was a Horstmann H27XL (with link removed for gravity fed). If you pressed boost for the central heating, hot water would come on too - so seemed to be working.

Pair everything up first then switch it to gravity mode...the receiver is trying to pair up so you are probably confusing it.

Bingo! That was the problem. I assumed the gravity setting would be a local setting unaffected by pairing. The receiver wasn't pairing because the hub had been on for too long. Rebooting the hub allowed them to pair and I was able to set it into gravity mode.

Thanks, petit_pablo.
