Car stalling.

Hi all,

My partner drives a 2008 Toyota Aygo, this morning she had to brake hard to avoid an accident and the car stalled. It restarted but now stalls whenever she comes to a halt.

Any idea what's going on?

Hard to say. I take it this isn't a vehicle with stop-start, and it's just that that's happening? If not, and it was my car, I'd start looking for air hoses that might have developed a split when the engine moved on its mountings in the emergency stop, resulting in a small lair leak.

If it has a timing belt, maybe get the timing checked in case the belt jumped a tooth when it stalled?

Read code is the first thing to do.

Very difficult to diagnose, but check the wiring to the MAF sensor......notoriously delicate, maybe the engine movement has caused issues?
Wiring to the throttle body itself can give similar issues.
