Change a lock

Hi all

I've recently broken a key in the lock of my front door (Mila lock - upvc door). Rather than pay a locksmith exorbitant amounts I thought I'd have a go at extracting it myself. Does anyone have any tips for me?

if it is a straight forward barrel lock it is easy .undo the screws and remove the latch from the back of the door.unscrew the 2 screws that hold the lock barrel in place. replacement is the reverse.
