Hi there,
I have no electrical experience what so ever and don't understand the terminology.
Yesterday i change a single socket, all was fine for 24 hours then this evening i heard a popping noise from the direction of the new socket and the electric tripped, i turned it back on and checked the socket no smoke or burning smell and the appliance still worked 2 minutes later it made a popping sound again and the electric tripped. This time i unplugged the appliance and turned the switch off but half hour or so later another popping noise from same socket and electric tripped again.
I have now took the socket of and put wires back in ensuring nothing is exposed, twisted or touching. So far everything has since been fine granted its only been 30mins.
Do you think the issue will now be resolved or is there an underlying issue.
We have never had faults untill i changes the socket.
