I`m on the process to chase some wall to hide radiator pipe.

taking as sample a 600x1200mm radiator and I believe setting it out at 150mm height from floor. How far the pipe will be from the radiator considering valve width ect etc? is there any standard measure for it?

Many Thanks

I usually put them at 200mm from finished floor, so the 150mm skirting will still be visible and look neat, but I don't know if there's any rule against it.

1" above skirting and use long street elbows on the end to go up into the valves.
Add 90mm onto the width of the rad, allowing 45mm for each valve.

With pipe and valve in place, fitting brackets and hanging the rad to line up to the valves will be a pain in the backside. Do consider protecting the pipe if copper ( from corrosion) and consider the required play that needs to be there with most valves if the rad needs to come off

Would be more prudent to hang the rad after wall chased, connect up, plaster in the pipes. Also consider telescopic valve tail ( at least one)
