As a housing officer, I was visiting a house under the short term leasing scheme before showing it to the new tenant. It was all very nice except for the huge hole in the bathroom ceiling and the chimney stack on the floor.

I got out! I didn't like to think what had gone the way of the 'unnecessary' chimney breast - floor joists, perhaps?
