Hi people
Need advice
So I previously had carpet in my house which was laid on top of chipboard which were nailed in to the original floorboards
I had a builder a month ago put in laminate flooring all of upstairs
Underneath the chipboard flooring there is the original floorboards. The builder said to avoid removing the chipboard he will just laminate on top with underlay
I now have annoying creaking noises and some of the laminate flooring have split at the joint when walked on
The builder ain't answering my calls . I think the issue is the chipboards were nailed down originally I'm guessing have come loose.
I ideally want to lift up the floating laminate floor and screw the chipboards down in to the floorboards
What size screws would be safe for me to screw the chipboard in to the floorboards avoiding hitting any pipes???
