Coax through Soffit

Hi all,
Hoping someone has some advice for running a coaxial cable up through the soffit into the attic.
Issue I have is I can't see down into the soffit, or even a glimmer of light from outside, from the attic. Even feeding through a rod from the underside of the soffit I can't get it to feed into attic.
The outside wall is red brick cavity, and from the attic it looks like the wall runs right up to the underside of the roof between the rafters, looks like mortar been used to close any gap to roof on inside wall.
If anyone has had any experience of getting around this would be good to hear it, beginning to think I'll have to abandon the idea of going through the soffit.

Use a long flexible rod from below.
Either the cap of a 2M long bit of trunking or a fibreglass cable fisher.
 
Thanks. Think issue with feeding anything up is entry to the attic is blocked, looks like by big blob of mortar between top brick and underside of roof. Not sure if this is an old house thing to do, back of house is relatively new so will be interested to see if they blocked up that gap too.
Sounds like my 600 drill bit has to come out but i'll have no idea what I'm drilling into at the other end! Just have to hope it's the mortar at the inner leaf to attic.
 
Maybe cut out a small section of facia which will give access to both wall and soffit after which replacing is just a case of replacing facia with a couple of joint covers.
Alternatively install a soffit vent which gives a better view and aids cable install, I used one for my cctv cable install to loft .

You will need to try to knock out the brick in the loft on the inner coursework ( depending on how high it is from the ceiling ) had to do it many times on 1960s houses to get bell or camera cables up or drill up at the correct angle..
 
Thanks, think that's the only option. Not sure why I was surprised the brickwork goes up that high and tight to the roof but there you go, hoping when I get to the new roof section it's a bit more straightforward!
