Hello!
I've been trying to research the best way to open up the fireplace to fit a wood burning stove, although I found similar threads on here I've not found any with the same type of concrete slab gatherer as mine.
It looks like a solid concrete throated lintel gatherer type
Not only supporting the bricks on the front but on the inside too, I cant see any signs of corbelling on the inner bricks
Is it possible to remove with some acrow prop strongboys? will the inner bricks stay put? like you can see from here
Another option might be to leave it as is and just another lintel under it?
Any advice would be appreciated
Thanks!
