Hi, I’m trying to top up the pressure but can’t work out how I’d go about connecting a filling loop because the valves are weirdly shaped and not what I’m used to. Any help appreciated!
This is what’s behind it so have realised there’s already a filling loop in place, my mistake, but when I turn the isolation valve switch nothing happens, any ideas?
Yes, that’s the one I turned on and there’s no water coming through. The annoying thing is I have a new filling loop and valve I could replace it with but because of the way they’ve installed it I can’t unscrew it.
Also, there’s definitely only the one isolation valve but ty!
Yes, it should.
Sometimes the handles can spin, and not turn a stuck valve.
Can you undo the Flexi on the valve side?
That side is the cold water feed side - if you can undo the Flexi there, you can very carefully check the valve is working.
If it does operate correctly, then it's likely to be the non-return valve at fault.
Which means you'll need a spanner to remove the valve - no need to undo the Flexi on that side.
Hi so I finally managed to get hold of a spanner but the valves themselves still won’t budge. Took the loop off and now hot water is coming out the end and can’t see why. The boiler is off and I can’t see another switch valve at the other end, any ideas please?
If you can't operate that valve (black handled one), with a spanner it needs replacing.
As water is coming out the flexible hose ,the none return valve will also need replacing.
