Hi
Hoping there might be some knowledgeable people here who could point me in the right direction
I was going to lay some new laminate, but after pulling up the flooring in the conservatory, the chipboard subfloor is damp/mouldy, smells like a damp tent. Before I rip it up I wanted to get some advice.
Looking at the photos attached, I can see a bit of foam insulation at the side, but its very thin. Theres another very small bit of slightly exposed foam, which might be thicker, but cant really tell without pulling it up. The conservatory floor joins right up against a concrete floor on the dining room, which also seems to have mould/damp. Lots of the damp patches are found and in the middle of each of them is a rusty screw.
What do you reckon I should do? Rip it all up and figure it out (perhaps new DPM, new foam and new P5 chipboard glues at the joins). I guess i need to rip it up first to see whats what. My only worry is that one i do that, theres no going back, perhaps theres another way to sort this that I dont know about!
Thanks for any advice anyone can give.
Cheers
