Cost of living shooting up becoz of Brexit

Brexit is certainly a key factor.

pandemic and energy crisis with brexit -bit of a perfect storm really.....nettle soup and dandelion tea here I come

The rest of the world is not having anywhere, ANYWHERE near the price rises Britain's getting.

But brexiteers, keep your heads in thd sand...

Latest inflation rates I can find online are 5.4% UK and 5.1% Eurozone. Not much in it and the Russian gas situation will hinder the Eurozone more than us.
Basically at the moment most of the western world is f****d, it's nothing to cheer about but if blaming it on Brexit gives you a hard on then stroke away.

This is brexit related.

Energy price rises are direct result of britain leading the Internal Energy Market.

Food prices are a direct result of 30% of our food being imported from the EU, where red tape amongst other issues is causing a big price rise.

Keep your head in the sand.

brexit imposes very significant trade barriers between us and our biggest trade partner...in exchange for zero benefit

it doesnt take a genius to work out that is very damaging to the economy

Its really time you started to learn how the single market works and the hidden costs of non tariff barriers....instead of you just repeating your prejudices based on Tory propaganda

Gasbusters is right, you are wrong

.instead of you just repeating your prejudices based on Tory propaganda

Gasbusters is right, you are wrong

And you just keep on repeating your prejudices based on your hatred for for the Tory's and your country, if indeed it is your country.

Gasbusters is just another nutjob in the same mould as lastmuffinbrussels.

The current inflation is caused by the effect of all the extra money the government has printed and of all the wealth it has let slip out of the country. Think of it as the value of the money going down, rather than as prices going up.

This coupled with the present low interest rates means the government is stealing your money, bit by bit.

Alleged giveaways such as the various cuts announced in the budget and the £150 we are all being given are not giveaways. We are being bribed with our own money.

The government says times are going to be hard, yet it is they that made them so. We are paying for bad government.

That’s capitalism for you.

That’s capitalism for you.

Or globalism. Even someone as insane as you Notch must surely read the news and recognise that the problems we face are not unique to the UK, Governments all over the world are printing money faster than it can be spent, quantitively easing like there's no tomorrow and trying to sustain industry after two years of covid lockdown and semi lockdown.

Countries who turned their backs on Saudi because they're quite frankly beastly people who cut peoples hands off and were unpleasant to homosexuals thought this Putin chap seems a jolly good egg, let's all buy our oil and gas from him.

FFS you couldn't make it up.

Still

LETS BLAME IT ALL ON BREXIT, THAT FARAGE BLOKE DONE IT, INNIT.

And they say 'remainers' are more intelligent than 'brexers'. Perhaps they are, but there's little evidence to substantiate that here.
