Covid inquiry

Gove is/was good on detail but can't resist leaving his legacy on his decisions. Rees Sprogg on the other hand is essentially a journalist who would be clueless running a department, probably why he has never been let near one. Labour had their share too, Hariett Harrman was useless as a minister. I suspect Jess Philps is the same.

So exactly what would you have done in March 2020?

Nobody would have have it correct, so don’t even try and suggest they would

I remember thinking as Boris made his announcement on tv that some decisions that they were making would only be proven wrong with the benefit of hindsight

Poor old Rishi in his question and answer session on gb news tonight, the scots bloke asked him to look into his eyes and explain away how hed been cast aside on the effects the covid jab had had on him.

its really not very hard

you listen to what was happening in Italy instead of being an arrogant Eton tw@t and ignoring it

oh and the other rather obvious thing is you dont f****g miss 5 COBRA meeting because you are too lazy to attend

If the PM had acted faster we wouldnt be in such a bad place now.

Many more deaths are inevitable

We have the advantage of seeing disease progression and citizen behaviour in other countries, such as Italy, that are ahead of us. I don't see anything happening here that is different from what has already happened. No foresight required.

rate of spread... much the same

panic buying... yep

People partying... yep

people moving to holiday homes or other regions, and spreading the disease... yep.

Denial and inaction by politicians... just the same.

Inaccurate figures due to insufficient testing... definitely

Look at the shape of the curves. There is some variance, but they're generally following about the same trajectory. UK is two weeks behind Italy. Is it going in the same direction, or a different one? If you'd looked at the curves two weeks ago, would you have known about where UK would be today?

Today look at the French line. Can you guess about where UK will be in one week?

Good job we didn’t do that in 1943 and an arrogant public school tw@t decided we should fight on. (y)
You really are prepared to plummet the depths of stupidity in order to support an arrogant public school tw@t just because you voted for him.

Are you claiming I’m the polar opposite of you and your reasoning?

would only be proven wrong with the benefit of hindsight
Hospitals and care homes were being overwhelmed in Italy and Spain.

Locking down earlier was what they should’ve done, they were told then and hindsight has only reinforced that.

But arrogant Johnson thought U.K. would escape it and herd immunity was the answer.

You seem to forget this was the guy proudly telling people how he was shaking peoples hands

Are you claiming I’m the polar opposite of you and your reasoning?
You were making some pathetic false equivalence to WW2 to deflect from the fact Johnson was f****g useless.

Tribalism at its finest.

Why people compare Johnson to Churchill escapes me, the only parallels are that they both worked as journalists before becoming PM.

But Churchill was a war correspondent and Boris made stuff up.

it’s true that hindsight will show that some lockdown measures were wrong and some were right.

But the govt failed by not acting swiftly in the first wave and failed in the second lockdown with all that nonsense about Christmas

Why people compare Johnson to Churchill escapes me,
I was comparing publicly educated Tory leaders for notch's benefit. In his eyes anyone who is a Tory or went to public school is a tw@t. More so if they filled both of his hated groups.
