Hi,
3 years ago we had a 2 storey side / single storey rear extension added to our semi-detached house. This involved the removal of the "old" rear wall with RSJ installation.
Since it was done we've had vertical cracks near the "join" in the rear extension, not deep not wide but definitely noticable. Just now we've noticed they're definitely bigger - but not measurably so, and we also have cracks on the inside of the existing house either side of the RSJ. There is a diagonal crack running from the corner of the RSJ to the ceiling, and a jagged crack running from the top of the RSJ on the right side, down into the existing wall.
As these cracks are new, should we be worried? Who is the correct type of professional to come to our house and advise on such things?
Thanks!
