Crooked Pub

Apparently the JCB used to demolish the pub was booked BEFORE the fire and on the day of the fire the fire brigade were blocked due to a pile of something dumped on the access road. No fancy Sherlock Holmes type required for this one me thinks........... ;)
If true I'm shocked! Shocked I tell you!

What does this prove? I'm sure some dodgy solicitor will say the JCB was going to be used for something else, but they decided to knock down the burnt out pub instead.

According to my own gut instinct justice system though she looks like the sort to me...

Pictures on social media show her driving a Bentley, flying first class and posing outside the seven-star Burj Al Arab hotel in Dubai

Same people have gutted a particularly fine village pub between Bedworth (where they live) and Lutterworth. Bought the pub - The Sarah Mansfield - a viable going concern and ran it down, once it closed apparently they then sent in few blokes who stripped all the fixtures and fittings.

Some comments about the Sarah Mansfield are about half-way down this page. Apparently it's now up for sale.

Not convinced there's any point, its listed status has gone, and its character cant be replaced by a new version even by reusing old bricks. Building a lean into a new building makes no sense.

Better to fine them for any profit they make from the demolition, and move on.

Blup

The police reckon arson but have a heap of bricks to examine. News showed footage of a sniffer dog being used.
Looks like some RSJ's may have been pulled out when it was demolished or maybe they were "just there".

The Mayor is up in arms.

If rebuilt they should make it bigger as it gets a bit crowded. Personal experience.

If the police are going with Arson, they are still a long way from proving it was the owners, even if the JCB was booked the prior week and all the valuables were removed.

Rebuilding at the Black Country Museum would have been a very desireable outcome, it really is a very good museum & they no doubt have the expertise to carry out such a project . . . .

I guess the funding for such a project was a problem.

Legendary but not profitable as the pub chain sold it.

Blup

Rebuild at the Black Country Museum would be a good option, imho.
Thats fine but who will the foot the bill, has to be at least a million with professional fees specialist builders etc.

We're "footing the bill" for the Palace of Westminster, and that was estimated last year at over £20 billion.......

Start a crowd fund, seek public-spirited philanthropy (iirc, at least two rock legends live near there, one of who owns a golf course).......

Where there's a will, there's a way.
