Curser has a mind of its own

This problem has occured only on Win7. When typing e.g. entering posts on this site, the curser will suddenly jump back and cause overtyping over what is already there. Also in many cases hitting the space bar causes a page down movement.
Any Ideas?

If you are using a laptop but use a USB mouse, this can often conflict with the laptops touch pad.

A possible fix is to simply disable the touch pad in the control panel. My friend had this issue and it took me quite a while to figure out. Hopefully that's of some help!

I use a laptop & usb mouse, I did see the fix you refer, but I didnt want to go that route. As I said mine is now fixed. So you can use both.
