Hi all - planning to have polymer bead insulation injected into cavities of our 1960s brick detached house. Prior to this we likely need to replace cavity ties which are corroded and were advised it makes sense to do this prior to insulating, as otherwise we risk distrubing the beads once injected.

However... we anticipate opening up back of property in next 2-3 years to extend out on ground floor; have struggled to get a view from the insulation company on whether that future work could impact the integrity of the insulation, e.g. causing shifts/thermal bridging through brickwork being removed or changed. Apols if a stupid question - just want to make sure we don't put the cart before the horse! Cheers.

Do the wall ties first, and then the CWI. Don't worry about the extension until the time comes, when you will have access to the cavities and will be able to infill any insulation at that stage.
