This bloke didn't steal any more cars.
His hands were ****ed.
I am not passing any judgement as to whether his punishment was deserved ir not, but its a case of, 'as ye sow, so you shall ye reap' or words to that effect.

There are several issues here.

Medical professionals will not get involved due to the Hippocratic Oath.

Non-medical staff have been messing up lethal injections.

Drug manufacturers are now refusing to supply these drugs.

Hence the authorities are rethinking methods of execution.

But IHNI why they decided on a mask that can be struggled against and where the condemned can sense the gas.

Some states have used gas chambers in the past. Surely these could be repurposed?

The condemned is placed inside, no mask.

The chamber is sealed and is gradually filled with Nitrogen.

Such chambers have been built and used for that specific purpose ( ending life) inventor was interviewed on the radio news a few days ago
 
Yeah, some states have them and they were used with hydrogen cyanide gas.

I don't understand all this.

If you have a major op, you get a general anaesthetic. You feel nothing, except maybe some joy before losing consciousness. Doctors work on you with all sorts of torture instruments and you are aware of nothing.

Why don't they just give them a general, then when fully under, give them a shock, or poison, or anything really.

The biggest issue mentally is being on death row. The torment of knowing you are going to be killed is what hurts the most. The end if relatively swift.

Because Doctors won't perform the process and medical supply companies won't sell them the medications.
 
Seems odd. It's not like there is a risk of giving too much anesthesia. And surely the government can manufacture it themselves?
Just seems a lot more pain and suffering is caused for no reason.

Are you referring to Fred Leuctar.
He designed gas Chambers to execute convicted killers in America.
He had a thriving business until he decided to go to Auschwitz and take samples from alleged gas Chambers for analysis.
Needless to say that was the end of his career.
