Debt ridden councils - who would have thought it would end like this?

A lot of people want all the benefits of paying more tax, without actually paying more tax!
That is the sad state of affairs in a corporate governed UK...

And I'm afraid that the nasty party (given their gerrymandering) will get back in and hammer in the final nail of the UK coffin!

Just reading about how, for Labour to win, they will need a huge lead, bigger than that of Tony Blair's and bigger even than Atlee's. I think the figure was something like 12.7%.

This is because of changes to constituency boundaries to make them more even.

Edited for clarity.

Corrected for you...

This is because of changes to constituency boundaries to make them more uneven politically ;)

Yes, I should have said more even in terms of voter numbers....

But it works in the Nasty Party's favour.

As always the expected bovine excrement from the gnat...

It won't accept the severe financial consequences of the brexit disaster...

One wonders whether it will be further taking part in this discussion, or as is usual heading for the hills with it's tail between it's brown stained legs!
Hit a nerve about Germany not being the flagship of the eu anymore as it's flag lies in tatters.

Yup the Labour Party will continue with more of the same

It's all just a simple case of UK not being able to afford itself. We're playing at being a world player when we're just a sh*tty rain-soaked little island whose only growth industries are crime, footy, pay day loans, cheap takeaway food delivery, industrial lager and cider, tattoos, online gambling and bingo. Any blue chip companies that could have sustained us with foreign earnings ( and used to quite well 60 or 70 years ago when it was "export or die") either fled or were more likely bought out by Europeans or Yanks. We have little to offer an increasingly technically advanced world in 21st century.

No political party has the answers AND the ability to raise the tax revenues to afford the things people believe they are entitled too. New trainers, phones and boozy nights out are far more important.

Have you ever thought about a career with the British Tourist Board ;) I can see the ad campaign now ...

Come to Britain, it's a sh1tty rain soaked little island

Nonsense. As it stands the Labour Party have an unbuilt advantage with the existing boundaries.

Harmonising the number of voters in each constituency makes things fairer

Birmingham City Council has just announced ~600 jobs could be made redundant due to significant debts. No decisions will be made until a consultation period is completed.

Perhaps if councils didn't do stupid stuff like removing a perfectly functional 4 way roundabout with a cross junction and traffic lights that now means vehicles have to wait LONGER, or painting LGBT cycle lanes etc etc they'd have a bit more £££ to spend on more important stuff like fixing potholes!

When you see from within the amount of money wasted in local authorities and the un -accountability im amazed that the debt isnt higher .
