Default mail client not installed?

Hi Chaps.
Nothing to do with smileys this time :lol:

When I click on a email link the error message comes up as default mail client not installed.
Could any one explain what this is please :D

OS, email client etc etc.

Thanks for the link :D
I have followed the instructions but my OE will not repair itself for some reason.
Would it be best to uninstall OE6 and reinstall it. :?:
I have downloaded the updates for it at Microsoft.

Yes, resaonable. But from a purists view not good.
