Destroying floppy discs

Hi guys

Would be interested in methods used to physically destroy floppy discs before sending them to the tip.
Would stacking them up and using a drill press to drill say a 6mm hole
through them at say, 10 at a time, be sufficient to render all data useless?

I tended to remove the metal cover and damage the magnetic media disc inside. Drilling a few holes should work though. Have you got many - you could burn them to damage the magnetic media disc. Hammering them will also damage the disc.

Most modern shredders have a facility for cutting through CDs and DVDs. Might be worth investing in one.

Burn them.

Burn them, snap them in two, drill holes in them, pass a very strong magnet over them.. Floppy disks are incredibly easy to ruin.
