hi everybody....
can someone tell me the differential between contactor and mcb and how both of them function??
another one.. model no DZ47-63. i'm google that model but my boss say that one is contactor not mcb...

:(

A contactor is like a relay - it allows large loads to be switched by energising a coil.

An MCB detects overcurrent and breaks the circuit if it's too high.

They are absolutely not the same, not even remotely similar, they do not do anything like the same thing and cannot be used in place of each other.

A DZ47-63 is a circuit breaker.

Why are either you or your boss going anywhere near activities like designing, choosing components etc? Neither of you have a clue. Get someone competent on board before you kill someone.

Hemhoh, This is a UK specific forum dedicated to UK DIY domestic issues.

The parts you quote are only available in your region.

Suggest you post on a Malaysian/Chinese forum and you'll get help that is relavent to you.

MCBs and contactors are the same the world over.

As are the safety issues of people engaged in design/product selection when they don't know the difference and can't tell one from t'other.
