Hi all, just moved into a flat. The electric heating system is controlled by this unit. dimplex rxpw4

The display doesn't switch on, not sure where the problem lies. Everything else works fine.

Should I buy a new one or get an electrician round.

If there anything I'm missing.

Many thanks in advance.

A key switch, that does not look like a key switch !!!???
We've got loads of keys somewhere. Will take a look.
Don't u have to turn a key!??

Well get back to you tomorrow.

Many thanks again.

the key is stamped out of thin metal plate, and is called a fish key because it looks just like a fish

I wouldn't expect either of those switches to cut the power to the controller though?

Oh!!!??? Haven't got a fish key. Just ordered one!
So what do they actually do these switches?
I'm hoping it will turn the controller power back on!

Hello again, well you were correct fish key made no difference!!
Should I just buy another control panel or is it worth upgrading to a new improved wifi controlled (with security :-)) version?
Any suggestions greatly appreciated.
Cheers

Have you identified which circuit breaker in your consumer unit is for the heating? (Maybe post a photo of the consumer unit and associated things e.g. meter and any other boxes.)

Do you own a multimeter?

I take it you're not renting the flat, right ?!

Thanks will do tonight. No not renting own it.
Just need the control unit to set a timer for all the headers.
