I removed the heating assembly on my Bosh dishwasher as I noticed one arm was not spinning.
This video explains why that might have been the case...
I have excluded the issues he mentions in the video, something jamming the outlet or missing teeth on the cogs.
So, the only scenario I am left with is a dead motor.
To check, as he briefly mentions in the video, I connected it to a mains supply, and measured 240 volts across the two prongs, just to confirm it was getting power, but nothing. No spinning....so dead?
Just wanted to check that there was nothing I had missed. It should just start spinning away when directly connected, correct?
Finally, I thought I might have a job finding just the motor unit. However, a very faint stamp on the motor show it is an elbi type a valve motor.
While I can't find a stand-alone motor....it appears it is still used in a 3 way valve configuration for some boilers.
Does it look like a match?
Help much appreciated.
