Hi there

I installed some door brush strips at the bottom of my doors so cold air doesn’t come through, I have an issue.

The brush inside the plastic has a metal bar that constantly slides out. What could I add at the end to stop it from sliding out? I need some sort of a stopper.

A few suggestions:

- a spot of hot glue out of a glue gun at one end then the brush strip slid back in place before it sets (hot melt guns are amazingly useful tools for all sorts of things!)

- a few spots of Mitre Mate or Super Glue in the groove at one end (then slide the brush strip back into position)

- a bit of contact adhesive in the metal at one end (and left to set once the brush is slid back in place)

- or maybe gently crimp the metal with a few taps of a hammer and a nail set to just tighten it a bit and just pinch the brush strip (don't smash it, though!)

You have the plastic type which doesn’t lend itself to crimping , pull out a section and bend a slight S shape into it then force it back in flush.Or tap a panel pin across the end just protruding enough to prevent movement.
