D Deleted member 174758 16 Feb 2022 #2 You generally aim for 5 to 10mm on each side - that allows for the studwork to be a wee bit out

It's a wide opening in brick which has been plastered which is not straight so I'm trying to get get the studwork and lining all square. It used to be a back door before an extension was built years before I bought bungalow.
