Hi,

Any ideas on how to remove these small door handle screws? I have tried many different screwdrivers and all that's happening is the screwheads are being destroyed.

I have tried the rubber band trick but they didn't seem to help.

Any help would be great.

Thanks

The head indicates that they are Phillips screws. Do you have a Phillips screwdriver of the correct size? It is not the same as Pozidrive.

When you use a screwdriver of perfect fit, and not worn out, you will find it feels quite different from an incorrect one.

Thanks for the reply.

I managed to get a couple out using different screwdrivers but ended drilling the heads out on the rest and using pilers to unscrew the thread part still in the door. Took ages but worked.

Thanks

Get a quality screwdriver.
Will probably be a Pozi which is marked pz which is slightly different design to Philips which is ph.
Pz is slightly longer than ph so will not be a tight fit.
Maybe you are using the longer pz screwdriver when the shorter tip of ph would be a better fit and not slip.

Try both pz1 and ph1 screwdrivers
