Not a joist, but was easiest description.
Have a raised decking area, on top of the 4x4 corner posts I bolted a 6x2 ring beam, cut roof rests on this ring beam. (Pic shows ring beam before tiling)

On one side (actually on a short side) the 6x2 has bowed in the middle, simplest solution I think is to add a 2nd 6x2, I can easily lift up the ‘bow’ with a prop, thought is Jack up to take out the ‘bow’
Then glue a new 6x2 to it (face to face). And through bolt with coach bolts …. Almost making a 6x4 laminated beam.
Corners posts still true, deck is true, just the one 6x2 has ‘sagged‘

Thinking of abrading mating faces, applying polyurethane glue, and through bolting with 10 of. 12mm x 130mm coach bolts, with square plate washers under the m12 nuts.

Any reason not to do this … roof been in place for 6 years, and 3 sides absolutely fine …. Just unlucky on the wood on one side.

pic of structure attached.
