Downstairs extended wall to boundary???

I have a semi detached house and my neighbour has a single story rear extension which comes right up to its boundary (next to our fence line). This isn't the issue. We also have a single storey extension but it is about a meter and a half away from my neighbour even though it was built before. Because of the structure, it causes a weird shape to be formed on the inside if you imagine it.

What I want to do is to move the wall on my neighbours side which is a meter and a half away right up next to my neighbours boundary. They do not have an issue with it as we have discussed it in the past. This will ensure that if I am in the back room, both the back room and the extended room will be continuous and there won't be structural differences.

I'm very inexperienced and I'm only 20 but I just wanted some clarifications and further information that I would need for this project.

So there will be a gap between your wall and your neighbour's wall?
Is there a need to access either wall to maintain fences or gutters in the gap? Or do you envisage putting a weather seal on the top of the walls?
A little detailed as this stage - but your objective to have a single internal line for your room may be a challenge for 2 reasons:-
a) if you need an RSJ in the ceiling to support an upstairs wall - the RSJ will need to sit on something - this something may need to be a pillar.
b) The regulations regarding cavity walls may have changed - the insulation that will be required in the new wall may mean that it is a challenge to have a smooth (linear) wall on both the inside and outside - Unless you accept dry lining the existing wall to being it forward to align with any new wall etc

The party wall act will apply - it is excellent that you are on good terms with your neighbour. this will save you some money.

The proposed space between my neighbour and myself is empty - there is no need for access to that space. I basically want to align the new wall with the old wall as currently the new wall for the extension starts 20% into the back room .

Say this was to go ahead.. how much money would you think it would cost?

£8 - 30k.....?

You could always provide some sizes and a little sketch so we could narrow it down to say +/- £5k
 
If I was you I'd build my wall right up to the boundary so that it's touching the neighbours wall. You'll need to join the roofs. It's likely that your extensions are different depths with different roof pitches, so one will have to be flashed in to the other, and hopefully their roof lines won't intersect making a pain of a flashing job. Measurements/diagrams would help.
