Suspended jail term for architecture boss after boat crash
The owner of a Wiltshire architectural design practice has been handed a suspended prison sentence after an alcohol-fuelled boat crash that left three people with serious injuries

I find this odd. Had he been driving a car he would likely have been jailed.
In summary.
Got p*** decided to drive home in the dark with no experience or care. Ran his boat at full throttle and hit the IOW at about 20kts. With enough force to climb out of the water about 30 ft. Serious injuries for some of his passengers. The boat isn’t salvageable and is still stuck on the beach today.
Rumour has it he bought another already.
