I have a workshop space which has chipboard flooring laid on joists over a concrete sub-base, with polythene moisture barrier sheeting on top (overlapped, not sealed).
There was a slow leak from a shower unit over a couple of months which eventually saturated the chipboard in part of the workshop (hidden under vinyl so not spotted immediately). Turning off the water and running a dehumidified for a week has pretty much dried out all the chipboard again. However when I lifted some of the boards to take a better look, the concrete floor under the sheeting is still quite damp.
Does anyone have any advice on whether or not it is important to dry out the concrete fully, and if so what might be the best way to achieve this that doesn't require lifting large amounts of flooring/joists/sheeting to expose the concrete beneath?
