I thought he was dead
He is but he, like a lot of other 'names' lost a fortune when they trusted Lloyds to look after their money. You’re old enough to have been around during the Lloyd’s scandal, don’t you remember it?

Even with my simple mathes this doesn't look up to much

It’s not. Unless you are a limited company, you can move your money wherever you want. (Not with a limited company as it belongs to the company and not you).

Why not get a Chase account and use that solely for your business? You get a debit card that gives you 1% cashback and a savings account and you can move money between the two instantly on your phone. The savings side pays 4.1% . No transaction charges either.

You must have seen the advert?

You want a cash ISA, a Stocks and Shares ISA costs money (say 4% commission) to pay in and out. Over a 12 month period any gain will be lost to commission charges.

You must be using a terrible company.

I do remember Lloyd's I think I was in Australia at the time. Northern Rock who we had our mortgage with went it's up.

Tell me about Chase. Can I open a business account with them?

What do you need a business account for? Just open one in your name if you are a sole trader.

I'm not sure how long they would let me do that.
Can I open different pots with the account?

It’s just a bank account. Open it in your name, get your customers to pay you and pay your bills from that. Once opened, you can open the savings account that pays 4.1% and move money between the two instantly.

With my Lloyd's account I can open different pots within the main account so as I can see together

I give them different titles like:
Tax
Tools
Holliday
Maserati
New Van
Pension

And I move money about. Can it do that?

You can do anything with a chase account that you can do with a 'normal' bank account. Yes, you can open different 'pots' if you like but they only pay 1%.
