Electric oven

Hi can anyone advise on how to resolve heating issue on indesit electric oven. I have no heat from grill or top and bottom oven elements. When selecting function only the oven light comes on. When I use temperature control only the pre heat indicator light comes on.

Have you set the clock

This model doesn't have a clock just a dial timer knob

I would check the wiring connections 1st

Will give wiring a quick basic check but electric wiring knowledge is very limited

Has it been working OK or is it new to you? What model is it and do you have user instructions to refer to for problem solving.

Its 2 years old. It was working fine, then suddenly stopped half way through cooking. Its an indesit model IFW 6230 IX

Could be the O/H stat or the temp. control or selector switch, even the minute minder but these are all things you need to be confident and competent to test. Might be easier to get an electrician or appliance engineer to have a look.

Problem solved. Bought a new oven. By the time I paid for electrician, parts and waiting time I would have starved lol.
