Elements board to thermalite block

Morning all,
I’m about to board out my extension/ bathroom with elements / jackoboard. The method suggest using a adhesive along with a mechanical fixing with washers. However my concern is thermalite blocks just crumble/ compress with anything hammered in. What suggestions are out there please?

1. direct bonding
2. dowel method
3. dab and dowel

Is there not an issue with thermalite blocks crumbling with dowls and rawl plugs? This is due to the light weight construction?

You could just drill out holes (not on hammer action), blow them out and glue wood dowels in.

You need correct fixings for thermalite , conventional fixing just pull out.
