My flat, which is situated on the first floor of a Victorian house, is equipped with an Elvox intercom system (along with 5 other flats). The handset in my flat buzzes when a visitor who is outside the communal door presses the button with my flat number on it. I can talk to the visitor through the handset and if i want to let them in i press a button which opens the communal door. It all works perfectly. The trouble is, I don’t like the look of it hanging on the wall with it’s 1980’s twisted cable hanging down. It’s old fashioned, plastic, clunky and quite frankly an eyesore.
I’d like to know if I have any options to upgrade it to something bang up to date that looks nice, is smaller and preferably wireless?
If not then I might have to find a decorative wooden box to attach to the wall to hide it in.
Thanks
