Didn't you say that anyone in business who falls for this type of scam deserves it?
And I said there are elderley folk in business (who could fall for a scam).
Many people, even savvy younger folk get caught.

Age is irrelevant, it is awareness and savviness. Almost by definition, anybody of any age who is in business will have the sense to notice that most scams are obvious - especially the one that you highlighted. If you fall for that one, then you will never last long as a businessman. there are many more face to face and telephone scams going on. Those are perpetrated by skilled smooth talkers. Every time a F2F victim is interviewed they will say something along the lines of: "he was such a nice man, a real gentleman". Which, when you think about it, the appearance of which is a pre requisite for a con man. Witness the business rate reduction scam , and the "your business can be sold for more than you think", scams. There was/is a big agency (can't recall the name at the mo) perpetrating the latter - and I had one of their reps around to my business - and I can promise you that most would be fooled In comparison, the typical email scam is a very blunt weapon, and easily spotted.
