Euro hinges

Put it in. I screwed straight into wall for plates believed there was wood in there but bottom two came out so put in plugs. The skirting on bottom of door kept binding with piece on side so it might be left off or shifted to right which would leave a gap.

@Keitai what is the going rate for a job like this? Not being snarky, genuine question.
Maybe being such a small job, nobody wanted to do it, i bet its only a couple of hours work for the likes of Jobandknock.
It's hard getting tradesmen to do little jobs, thats why people like Keitai pick up these jobs as people become desperate.

that’s wrong.

concealed hinges are set 37mm back

Is that from edge? I measure 35m from screws to edge with my kitchen units, I then added 18mm for mdf width saw it was 2mm proud which I figured was gap hence 55mm.

Exactly, but good practice for me.

Even got a joiner to cut mdf and hinge holes and get right hinges (inset ones). I think he gave me these as door is flush. I'll cut the door myself next time. I got a jig too.

It was a case of marking the centre of hinges onto wall for centre of plates with door on floor then shifting them all up 5mm so there was a 2mm gap at top

Not much after joinery costs, but good practice. Should have put longer screws in though for plates inch and half would have been better. I reckon they may come out.

So you got a joiner to show you how to do it, then you do it for a customer and charge them????

Shame the customer can't cut out the middle man (bodger, Keitia) and save money with an expert job.

Looks like the customer is on a lose-lose.
