I moved in to my property just six weeks ago and I have (had) a Eurosec PD6662 which developed a fault yesterday. Due to the alarm continuing to sound for several hours I ripped the whole thing out and this included the control panel itself which was mains and battery operated, an external active sounder, a keypad and a single PIR. The external sounder had a small backup battery which has been removed, as well as having had the cable cut. The PIR has gone and now there is no cabling whatsoever inside the garage that was once used by the alarm system. However, and here's the question.... I still have an alarm sounding continuously which I can't find. I have searched for any hidden cables as best can and killed the power to the garage for lengths of time that I thought would have sufficed but the alarm still sounds. Not knowing anything about the system seeing as we inherited it, is there a possibility that this came with a wireless sounder of some kind that could have been hidden somewhere when it was installed and if so, does this sounder come with a battery that I can only hope depletes some time very soon? Thanks very much and I look forward to your comments, Dave

Where is the sound coming from ? Are you sure it’s your alarm and not a neighbours ? Is it constant sound ?

Hi, thanks for the response. The alarm is also coming from within the garage where i've just removed everything. Definitely my garage as its deafening when you spend any amount of time in there. The alarm sound was constant last night and today has changed to a repetitive series of 5 beeps, space, 5 beeps, space etc.. The trouble i'm having is not knowing what technology is available for an alarm system, I don't even know if there is such a thing as a wireless, battery operated sounder (if thats what you call them). i've added the control panel just for clarification that when I said I'd ripped it out, that's what I meant :-). Thanks

not that I can see. I can guess the approximate area where the sound is coming from but having checked so many times it's now bugging the hell out of me. There are no wires to this location as I pulled all of them out which is why i'm guessing its some kind of wireless device and if it was hidden to alarm without being found by an intruder then its certainly doing its job. The only item left (but with wires and battery removed) is the external alarm box which is now just attached to the outside garage wall as a dummy. Just checked and its still alarming so I guess I'll have to carry on the search in the morning
