Expanded ULEZ

Iran has no dog in the fight then?
All that you understand about this world is what has been told to you by your MSM of choice.

I'm not saying I'm right, but can you accept that there might be a world out there where WE are the bad guys?

Probably the most sensible, but obvious, thing you've said in ages

I think you might be going off at a tangent as you obviously enjoy wandering through the woods.
As I pointed out the people slowly being poisoned by the food we consume and the government paying lip service due to the corporates involved, we then have the government concerned about it's citizens dying from pollution and the poorest paying for the privilege, when there's more than one way to skin a cat.

So what should be done then?

Thought it was already being done, as vehicles grow older they become unroadworthy and replaced with more enviromently friendly vehicles.
The question is why has that not been allowed to happen instead of all this clean air zones.
There is the two car per household proposition I made.
Once all the vehicles are compliant will the cameras be taken down?

Perhaps it needs to be done far quicker. People can hardly afford food and keep the house warm so they keep driving the bangers.

So how do we replace cars quicker - not a bad starting point.

Improve public transport by investing - make it safe, cheap and reliable.

I have only used the trains sporadically and it's been a nightmare - absolute dog s hite. I would rather get up super early to avoid traffic and the hell that is British Rail.

Would you use public transport to any degree?

I use planes and the Underground.

I would use it more if it was reliable. The trains are diabolical and need investment, would prefer to use the train if it was reliable and cost was acceptable.

I would still keep a car but for daily travel to work I wouldn't mind using public transport at all if the above conditions held. Why not?

No buses then.
Them aeroplanes belt out some sh*te, your not one of these save the planet hypocrites are you?

Buses as well - all public transport.

We can save the planet by using more public transport - I would rather have a well running public transport system to lessen the need to travel by car.

You seem to think it must be an either or solution - something for something else.

We need to alter the transport mix - how we get from A to B.

So we can save the planet in the process.

But I am not sure humanity deserves this planet anyway.
