Exploit virus

Hi Yesterday Microsoft security essentials picked up an exploit:win32/pdfjsc.PD. It cleaned it and said it was removed.

It was in temporary internet files. Do you think it is gone? I've run full scan and there was nothing else picked up.

I'm going out today so I probably won't be back till evening. Thank you.

How to remove temp Internet Files either using the Microsoft Fixit or manually.

Once removed, remember the Microsoft Malicious Software Removal Tool that updates and runs a scan on ‘Update Tuesdays’ can also be run manually.
Start -> Run -> type MRT -> OK. Then run a quick or full scan.

Hi I've just run a quick scan with MSRT and no malicious files were found. I deleted Temporary Internet Files too.

As you appear to have cleaned the computer, now is the time to purge your system restore points and set a new one so that you do not accidentally restore to a corrupt point if you do a SR in the future.

To Purge and set a new SR point follow the instructions I posted In This Thread.

Right I'm going to do it tomorrow. Just going to shut computer down and go to bed. I take it I can delete my History in Microsoft Security Essentials? I usually keep it in case something goes wrong. But everything is running fine.
